chance...

So yesturday I after work I was planning on going to see a movie with my brother. I sent a text message to my sister to see what she was up to and she said she was at graduation parties. I didn't tell her we were going to see a movie -- just told her to have fun. I called my brother and we planned to see a showing at 8:30pm. I took way too much time getting ready and being distraced doing nothing at home and I didn't get to pick him until until almost 9:00 so we had to see the 9:30 showing at a different theatre. Now, I live about 25 miles away from both my brother and my sister. There are about 6 movie theatres in between with over 30 showings of this movie that we were going to see between 8 and 10pm. What were the chances that the showing that we went to see was the same one that my little sister decided that she would go to with her friends? I looked at the people in line a couple of people in front of us and realized it was my little sister and I was deeply confused. But hey, it's a small world, right?

BTW my little sister just graduated high school -- congrats to her! Now I have no familiar ties at my high school (brother left in '99, i left in '02, sister #1 left in '04 and now sister #2 in '07)...
