the best day ever (if i hated every beautiful day)!
So today was a horrible day at work. Four people just flat out didn't show up and it was very busy. I'm used to having problems at this new store that I'm at but it was kinda ridiculous. I hear it's actually worse at the store that I left because of the fellow that replaced me over there. Oh well...also I'm not yet acquainted with where everything is in the store so I look very silly being a manager and having no clue where the Ensure is...I've got this bad habit of telling everyone "it's in aisle 8" whenever they ask me for ANYTHING. I suppose this can be misleading especially since there are 25 aisles and therefore it would actually be physically impossible for everything to be in aisle 8. I usually say that to buy myself some time while I ask someone else and then go "excuse me, I meant aisle 20...yup in the complete opposite direction of where i sent you...yea i know but they recently changed the store and flip-flopped everything". right.
Speaking of work I really have to stop being late...I have this bad habit of severely underestimating beltway traffic and leaving 40 minutes to go to work and of course it takes me an hour. In the spirit of true procrastination I always think I can get away with going a little later and yet it never works out (so why do I keep doing it?). Also I always want to go to Starbucks first but the drive-thru line is always about 8 cars back in the morning so I'd have to plan to be waiting in line for about 15 min. before even starting out on the highway.
So is Starbucks worth the extra 15 minute departure? Yes...when the alternative is going an hour with no gourmet coffee every morning.
Oh, instincts are misleading; You shouldn't think what you're feeling
They don't tell you what you know you should want
