Winter Olympics 2006 IV

  • Snowboarding (Halfpipe)
Shaun White. GOLD. Really...is anyone surprised? He was sick. He stumbled and then had a final run that was almost as good as his first halfpipe run in the X Games. Danny Kass (who was pretty sweet himself in Torino and in Salt Lake) was also pretty frickin' cool taking home SILVER for Team USA. I was actually surprised that Andy Finch didn't do as well as his teammates and that kid Mason Aguirre was really fun to watch (and almost made it a USA medals sweep).

Note: Women's Halfpipe results brought home the same as the Men's -- Team USA got GOLD, SILVER, and fourth place (COPPER perhaps?). So so close.

Look for:

Men's SBX: Thursday Feb 16th
Men's PGS: Wednesday Feb 23rd
