this week is history...
What a wacky week i've had...but i suppose that is the norm in my life. Sunday of course I had the TSL show and the crazniness of the bidders who paid me but never got their tickets. Tuesday and Wednesday were sorta my birthday days...and also Wednesday, Thursday and Friday I had to work extremely early shifts so I could learn the morning accounting. I stopped by my old store on Wednesday to attempt to convince the guy that replaced me not to hire this person who was complete garbage and I basically succeded...that was really annoying but I couldn't let that guy get hired...it just wouldn't be right.
Matt called me on Wednesday during the morning and actually reminded me that I had a show to go to that night with my little sister...I had completely forgotten about this. Since I was up for work at 3am and this show was obviously a late one I was gonna end up being up for almost 24 hours...I was not looking forward to this. I took her to see Matchbook Romance (w/ The Early November, Silverstein) at the 930 Club (as usual) and it was a pretty rockin' show. At the end of the show I pad my pockets just to make sure I had everything...cell phone...check...credit cards/id/cash...check...keys...[silence]...keys?...[silence]...uh oh. somehow in all the hysteria I dropped my keys! I absolutely couldn't believe that happened and all I was thinking about was how much money it was going to cost to get a new one (they have to re-wire my alarms to interlock with the key...at least $350...god bless German engineering). I looked around but I knew with 90% certainty that I was NOT going to find these keys...it was a near sold out show and with everyone jumping up and down and moving around constantly there was no way that my keys were going to be anywhere around. I ask the regular security guy (who happens to look like the kinda big guy you'd find at a biker bar...err...the kinda big guy you'd hope not to find at a biker bar) if anyone had turned anything in and of course he refers me to the front entrance, where apparently anything that is found is turned in. As a formality I go up front to check...I ask the guy and he says "wait a minute, I think someone did turn in some keys"...still no chance they are mine...he comes back and he says "are these yours?"...no oh well time to call a taxi..."oh wait, i have one more pair"...sweet merciful crap! my keys were turned in! Yeah, so that was HUGE shock, I couldn't believe it. Thanks to whomever you are, I truly appreciate your kindness!
I get home extremely late, take a "nap" for a couple hours and wake back up for work at 4am. So as soon as I got home Thursday I just completely crashed. Friday I was at work at 5am and didn't leave until about 5:20pm. No breaks. It was the worst day ever...I was doing the accounting in the morning and there was basically an error made by someone else which kept me there an extra couple of hours because I thought I made the error and I was trying to figure out what it was. This error just happen to be worth $14,400 and so I was pulling my hair out trying to find out what happened. Also I was trying to leave by 3pm so I could mail the Belle & Sebastian tickets that I had just sold earlier in the week and the bidder hadn't paid me until the previous night (and the show is tonight...in Philly...and he lives in NYC). ALSO I still had to finish writing the schedule for all 60 of my staffers for next week. Pretty hectic day. I really wanted to go out with my buddies on Friday night but I was just so burnt out from the day/week that I just slept. I have to go to work later today and there's a lot I need to take care of before I go so let me leave this internet haven I call a blog...
[Erica, thanks for coming back, I was worried there for a second.]
